Since April 1978, the Rotary Club of Crescent City has held its annual "Catfish Festival the first Saturday of April at Crescent City's Eva Lyon's Park. This massive volunteer effort has one significant purpose: raising money for college/vocational school scholarships for the high school children in our community. After costs are paid, every dollar generated is used for scholarships.

The festival is more than catfish dinners (although the catfish fingerlings and filet sandwiches are a good reason to come). There is live music entertainment Friday night and all day Saturday; games for the kids; arts and crafts vendors; and a parade. If catfish is not your thing, we have burgers, hotdogs, chicken fingers, fresh strawberry shortcake, and even frog legs and swamp cabbage!

Come on out to Crescent City for a day of food and fun and support a great cause while you are doing it!
